Outline of the research issue

The aim of this study is to develop a cellphone-type tele-operated android "Geminoid Cellphone" by which human presence can be transmitted from anywhere at anytime. A user transmits her presence to a remote place and the partner in the remote place can talk to her while feeling as if they are facing each other. It will be new information media that harmonize human with information-environment beyond existing personal computers and cellphones.
